Community clean-ups

Bring your neighbours, colleagues or classmates together for a common cause -cleaning up our community. Neighbourhood clean-ups provide an opportunity for people to get involved in making their streets, parks and open spaces litter-free. One small act can make a big difference!

The Sign-up form for neighbourhood cleanups is open from April 1^st until October 31^st.

Follow the steps below to get started on organizing your clean-up.

We welcome as many people as possible to participate in the community clean up, please note supplies are limited to 50 people.

Supplies for 50 people include 1 pair of gloves per person and 1 garbage bag shared by 2 people.

Please reach to us directly if you have a group larger than 50 people.

The Neighbourhood Cleanup program runs from April 1st until the end of October 31st.

First step, determine the date and location of your clean-up, and estimate how many people will be participating. When registering online, select your supply pickup site from one of our 14 Community Centre Locations.

Please be sure to register a minimum of 3 business days ahead your planned clean-up date.

Pick up your supplies at a Community Centre.

Pick up your supplies at the Community Centre of your choice. Be sure to bring a reusable box or bag to pack and transport your clean-up supplies in. Please allow 1-2 business days for staff to receive and confirm your registration.

Prepare for clean-up day.

Prior to the day of your clean-up, download our Community Clean-up Tip Sheet and Sharps Awareness Form to share with your group.

After the clean-up, request a pick-up of full bags.

After your clean-up, call 519-741-2345 to request that your full garbage bags be picked up.
